Community Child Care Council (4Cs) of Alameda County exists to develop and coordinate resources to strengthen families and children. Founded in 1972, 4Cs of Alameda County is a nonprofit family resource agency that provides services to uplift and support families, child care providers, and community members.

The core of 4Cs of Alameda County’s services for families include free child care resources and referrals in Southern Alameda County, child care payment assistance, workshops for parents, and a Community “Closet” that provides essential items for families in need. 4Cs of Alameda County’s programs for child care providers include: trainings and workshops, technical assistance and support, a program to help new child care providers open their own family child care businesses, and tangible, essential items to help child care sites and staff provide the best quality of care for the children in their care. The agency also offers free supports, playgroups, and workshops for family, friends, and neighbors caring for little ones. Services that 4Cs of Alameda County provide for all community members include free tax preparation and filing and car seat installation checks with a certified tech.
