Student Profile: Children identified as having a Specific Language Disability (SLD) also known as Dyslexia.
What We Do: Stellar Academy provides the dyslexic student with a nurturing learning environment tailored to their specific learning needs. We use the Slingerland Multisensory Structured Language Approach® which addresses the 5 key elements for effective reading instruction identified in the National Reading Panel Report.
Schedule: 8:15AM-3:00PM Monday-Thursday, 8:15AM-1:30 PM Fridays
Dyslexia Tutoring Services: Provides referrals for Slingerland Screenings and after-school Slingerland tutoring, either in-person or online.
Extended Daycare: Stellar Academy’s Extended Daycare provides a safe and fun environment for Stellar Academy students after school until 6:00PM. Reservations required.
